Grosgrain Silk Gown - Queens Counsel/Judges - Unisex
Irish Grosgrain, traditional styling.
This gown is slightly heavier than the Chinese silk gown; however, the weight difference and heat retention levels are minimal.
This Grosgrain silk is not as heavily treated as the Chinese silk, therefore this gown is somewhat denser and stiffer compared to the alternate gown. This gown is often described as appearing “regal”. It is the more traditional of the two choices.
This gown is favoured by Senior council and Judges. The sale ratio between the two gowns is 10 to 2 in favour of the Grosgrain.
Up to four metres of silk is used to produce a single medium sized gown.
